Our team runs a survey of each location, identifies clean frequencies, allocates and documents channels across departments, and helps each crew programme their gear. We supply audio hops for distributing mixed feeds, wireless comms for setting up large crews across expansive sets, and the antenna distribution needed to hold coverage in thick-walled heritage interiors.

Here is the short of it. Malta's pro wireless pool is compact, so for shoots running heavy channel counts we supplement local stock with matched systems from Sicily and the Italian mainland, or from UK suppliers, all moving carnet-free within the EU. We monitor the RF environment through the shooting day, keep backup transmitters and receivers ready, and adapt the frequency plan as the production moves between locations.

Here is the breakdown. RF range on the islands is covered by the Malta Communications Authority. We set up each wireless channel within its allocations, advising on sign-ups where higher-power systems are involved. Malta's compact geography, with most locations 30 to 45 minutes apart, means a wireless plan frequently has to work across several RF environments in one day, from the dense stone of Fort Ricasoli. This has stood in for ancient Rome and King's Landing, to open exteriors on the Dingli Cliffs or across the Gozo Channel.

English is an official language alongside Maltese, so frequency logs and crew briefings run smoothly for global shoots, and the Malta Film Commission supports permits and planning with local councils.
